  When people came to listen to Jesus speak, they often brought their children. They would call out to him, and ask him to touch their children, knowing that if they did then everything would be alright. 

 

  The disciples weren’t very happy about this though. They knew that Jesus was very busy and had enough to be doing without wasting time touching lots of little children. So they started telling people to stop bringing their children to Jesus.

 

  When Jesus found out about this he was not very happy with the disciples. “Let the children come and see me. You must not stop them.” He told his disciples. “The Kingdom of God belongs to people who are just like these little children.”

 

  Jesus put his big arms around all the children and blessed them. “Be careful. Don’t think that little children are worth nothing.” Jesus told a crowd of people. “They all have angels in Heaven and God looks after each and every one of them.”

 

  Jesus loved children. He made sick children better. One time, a man brought his son to see Jesus. His son was very ill, he suffered from epilepsy and he pleaded with Jesus to help him. He told Jesus that he had brought him to see the disciples but that they were unable to cure him. Jesus told the man to bring his son to him. He gave a strong command and the boy was suddenly cured! It was a miracle!
